Who's had to deal with summer sunburns after a sunny beach? 😟
I know I have from time to time. It happens. Sun exposure is good, but too much of it can cause irritation. Next time you deal with discomfort from too much sun, try this after-sun soothing spray with essential oils.
This DIY spray can help tame the burn and find some relief. This recipe is using a 30ml spray bottle.
Pick out a container that you want to use to create this recipe. Once you have your container add essential oil drops. If not using a 30ml spray bottle and using a smaller container you can cut down on the number of drops. 🌞 add your desired amount of drops are in then top off the container with either aloe, water or fractionated coconut oil.
Ingredients:
30ml spray bottle
20 drops - Frankicense
20 drops - Melaleuca
20 drops - Peppermint
20 drops - Lavender
20 drops - Copaiba
Fractionated coconut oil to top it off.
Instructions:
- Combine all the essential oils in glass spray bottle first.
- Then top off the rest or the bottle with coconut oil. I do add a little bit of water to the mix as well. You can also use aloe with this recipe.
- Shake to combine.
- You can keep it in the refrigerator to keep it cool before using it.
Great thing about using quality essential oils is that you can custom blend your recipes to your liking. Everyone's body is different so if one particular oil doesn't work best on you, then you can try another one til you find the right combination for you.
